The Canadian #DIY blog Hodge:Podge is set to compete in its second One Room Challenge, a renovation competition organized by Linda at My Crafty Home Life. The competition pits 20 bloggers against each other in a challenge to renovate a room in six weeks. Barbara at Hodge:Podge jumped at the chance to renovate an upstairs room that her kids use as a “hangout space.” We offered up some new PANYL Patterns for Billy and Not On The High Street threw in some product as well so that Barbara could achieve the goals which she set out on her website:
I am simply going to zhush up the space with a few small purchases (hoping to keep it under $250) , a few DIYs and shopping the house. I am going to show you that you can create a beautiful space with some creativity!
The big pieces are in the space already. It is a matter of finally hanging up art I have been collecting, adding some more colour, warmth and texture through rugs, pillows, PANYL backs for the bookcases and a touch of whimsy to some basic Ikea drapes.
Make sure to check out the progress on her blog!
