Calling All Upcycling Cyclists

Ok, so "upcycling" old bicycle parts may provide a DIYer with a pun opportunity so golden it's hard to keep your spandex on, but that doesn't make Oliver Staiano's bike parts-turned-clothes-hangers any less of an accomplishment. A student at Nottingham Trent University, Staiano took pieces of bike frames -- wheels, spokes, handle bars -- and paired them with classic wood finishing for a modern take on utilitarian style.

Staiano is selling his ready made hangers on Co-Product (link above) for nearly 200 Euros (not a traditional upcycle price-point), but provides a free HOW-TO for the truly inspired members of the 99% who are also Tour de France fans.
