The New Year season represents a fresh start and great opportunity. For us, this conjured images of PANYL in the nursery: a playful pattern; the awe of a bright color to a newborn eyes. So we scoured some of our favorite blogs to find nursery images we could digitally overlay with PANYL finishes. Cape 27 and The Brick House, and decorating dynamos Sissy & Marley, had just what we were looking for.
This Cape 27 dresser was actually a hack of its own, a bookcase flipped on its side with legs and knobs attached, before we got our hands on it. We decided to use PANYL dots -- in Midori, Hot Pink and Robin's Egg -- to introduce color while keeping "the white furniture on the white backdrop" feel that Jessie and her hubbie were excited about in their original design.
Next, we found this Brick House post (beyond gorgeous!) and were especially floored by the credenza-slash-changing table. Pattern beckoned again, this time in chevron shape and with an even more adventurous palette -- Hot Pink, Midori and Tangerine -- that plays off the pillow, the changing cloth trim, and the mobile above the crib.
Sissy & Marley's baby room for Victoria (spotted on Lil Sugar) was in for a pattern smörgåsbord. We brought quatrefoils into the mix for this precious IKEA Expedit makeover.
These colors and patterns are by no means the be-all end-all. A little imagination in the PANYL store -- we can cut any color or pattern at any size -- could be just what your Baby New Year needs...
